Desire Untamed
A Feral Warriors Series Book #1
by Pamela Palmer
Palmer's first book in the Feral Warriors series is outstanding. Her take on shapeshifters
is a new concept. Add in Mage magic, Draden vampire-type creatures, and a mortal woman who finds
out she is the Radiant, an immortal who keeps the Feral Warriors sane, and this book becomes a
page-turner of a read. If you leave out the sensuality, the fantastic sexual scenes between Lyon
and Kara, you would still have a book that is one of the most fascinating I have ever read.
Kara's whole world comes tumbling down when her mother dies. On the heels of losing the woman
who raised her, she is spirited away by a sensual man who claims she is an immortal. Someone
called the Radiant. Lyon also divulges she must be ascended to gain her full powers—powers
drawn from the earth itself. Only when she is paired with her rightful mate will she be able to
protect the earth and the Feral Warriors who keep the Draden, an evil scourge, from attacking
mankind.
When she is paired with Vhyper instead of Lyon, Kara realizes Lyon, a man with a heart as big
as his Lion body, is the man she loves. He turns from her, but when she pleads with him to help
her fight the nightmares tormenting her, together they discover that Kara may be a Mage, and that
Lyon's sworn duty as chief of the warriors is to kill her. Before she will allow that, she runs
but is captured by Lyon and imprisoned. From there, she is abducted, tortured, and finally
rescued by Lyon and the warriors, who all must ascend Kara so they can fight the evil mage witch
who is stealing their souls. |
