Bridal season has arrived at Belle Brides right on schedule this January, along with something the
salon’s manager and part owner, Erica Peterson, hadn’t been expecting: a mysterious Victorian bride
ghost, who’s either out to ruin Erica’s business or threaten her life. Detective Grant Stewart is
assigned to investigate the unexplained disturbances that local media, and the salon’s very spooked
employees, are quick to blame on the ghost—a town legend with a history of violence.
Sparks fly when Grant and Erica meet. Despite the fact they’re both immediately struck with the
feeling they’ve known each other before, neither is willing to admit the attraction. Having both
been betrayed by lovers in their past, they’re reluctant to get involved again. Still, it’s not
long before they find themselves falling for each other—in a way that neither they nor most
of their friends and family think is smart.
As Erica’s troubles escalate, the pair must race against time to discover whether her problems
are really paranormal in origin or the result of very real business competitors hoping to get their
hands on the valuable property on which the salon is located.
Eternally His is a deliciously shivery tale of time-traveling ghosts and star-crossed
lovers that will keep you turning pages right up until the end. All in all, I found this a
wonderful story for a cold winter’s night.
