Ms. Knight has enthralled me with her work from the get go. I have been a fan for years and
this latest, the second in her Time Hunters series, makes me want to run out and buy the first.
She never disappoints and always delivers. This is what makes Guardian, a book to put on
a keeper shelf. The emotions, sensuality, and plot are outstanding.
Riane, as an Enforcer from the future, is on a mission to hunt down a criminal, but when the
mission goes sour, she finds herself back in the past, dependent upon twenty-first century
knowledge and one Nick Wyatt—who is a pain in the butt as much as he is sensually handsome.
Still, he helped save her bacon, so she will give the arrogant human a chance—until she
realizes he is not a mortal, but the direct descendant of a Xeran native.
Nick’s first meeting with Riane was years ago. He saved her when she was kidnapped, although
not by riding to the rescue. He led her father and wolf protector to her side before she was
assaulted and killed. He never forgot the young girl, and when she drops into his world, he
once again fights to keep her safe. Now a sensual beauty who claims she is from the future,
he realizes their lives are not only tied together from the past but for all eternity.
Their relationship moves from slow to fast in a brief amount of time, with them running from
Xerans, trying to save Kira’s compatriots, as well as dealing with the knowledge that Nick is
indeed half-Xeran and has incredible powers of his own.
