My Wicked Enemy

by Carolyn Jewel

Carson Phillips has been orphaned at a young age.  She was saved from a life on the streets by Alvano Magellan.  She knew that she was different from others, for she was a witch.  With Magellan she always felt safe from the outside world.

Her fairy tale world came to an abrupt end the day she witnessed her guardian commit murder.  Knowing that he was not the man she believed him to be, she fled the only place she had ever known as home. Carson finds herself living on the streets of San Francisco’s Chinatown.  She is confused about who she can trust.

Nikodemus is a Chieftain Warrior Demon.  Unbeknown to Carson, he recognizes her as a means to get close to his arch-enemy, Alvano.  He doesn’t believe that her dealings with Alvano could really be innocent.  To give her the benefit of the doubt, he scans her mind and realizes that she is telling him the truth.

Nikodemus and Carson come to an agreement: she will lead him to Alvano and, in return, he will promise to keep her safe.  Together the two set out on the journey of a lifetime.

My Wicked Enemy provides a delightful paranormal reading experience.  It presents two strong characters who thrive on each other’s chemistry.  This is the type of book that once you start there is no stopping until you reach the riveting end.
