Dr Reese Winslow thought joining a panel of physicians for a TV show was nerve racking. Then
she drove to Deadwood, South Dakota to pack up her late Grandmother’s old house. Going through
Grandma Lily’s things sends Reese to a new, old world in the Black Hills of South Dakota. She
discovers it’s a cross between a living nightmare and a lust-filled dream. At some points Reese
begs to wake up, and at others—with Sam Keegan—she hopes she never does.
Sam Keegan runs the town stables. For him, meeting Reese is a new experience in the Old West.
He first takes her for a prostitute and later discovers her talent as a doctor. The two get to
know each other quite well—or so they think—Reese is working quietly to change Sam’s
history. And Sam is hiding a dangerous past Reese hasn’t read about in her Grandma’s attic.
Sam is a rustic, attractive man. Reese is self sufficient and strong-minded. Rawlins offers a
fascinating storyline, not to mention love scenes to make you blush. Once an Outlaw is an
imaginative, hot-to-trot time travel. Expect it to sizzle in your fingertips.
