One Deadly Sin

by Annie Solomon

Edie Swan returns to her hometown of Redbud twenty years later. She brings with her a list of names connected with her father's suicide, a dozen tiny black angels, her Harley bike, and a strong desire for both the truth behind her father's suicide and revenge for his death.

There is a massive headstone at her father's grave in the shape of a black angel. Superstition says that when his innocence is proved the black angel will turn white.

Edie gets a job as a bartender at Red's and begins to send her angels to members of the list. What follows are the deaths, one by one, of the recipients. Edie is stunned and believes there is someone else who is bent on revenge.

She becomes involved with the sheriff, Holt Drennan, a widower with a young daughter, Miranda. His father's name is on Edie's list. Holt suspects that Edie is hiding something, but there is a strong attraction between them. The two search for the truth behind the long buried secrets which will resolve their dilemmas.

One Deadly Sin is a suspenseful romantic mystery that is full of twists and turns, leaving the reader with questions about the real culprit. The attraction between Edie and Holt is fraught with problems, but also has lighter moments with his delightful daughter, Miranda. The story is fast paced with well-defined characters.

Highly recommended for suspense with a touch of romance.
