Once again, Ms Sparks uses fangs and claws to bring forth a vampiric tale of love, sensuality, and humor.  Her returning characters deepen the content of her sixth book in the Love At Stakes series, but it's the love of one lonely vamp and his lady that capture the hearts of romance readers as they, too, fall in love with her bad-boy vamps.

NYPD Lara Boucher is called to a potential crime scene.  The blood spatter suggests violence, but the tall, dark and Italian-accented man who denies anything went down is more intense than the bloody room.  Jack Giacomo is sex on a stick.  His eyes are mesmerizing, his body a testimony to a warrior's prowess, and his moves would make even a dead woman sit up and take notice.  The only problem is, he does this type of mind thing where she is supposed to obey.  Yeah, like that's going to happen.
