Ms. Latham again captures the interest and hearts of readers with her first book in the
Raised To Be Bladesmen Trilogy. In Taken and Seduced, that is exactly what
happens to the heroine. The hero believes his captive is going to be an amenable little
mouse and when he finds out she's not, he's already halfway in love with the lady. The
action is fast paced, the emotions touching, and the sensuality sizzling.
Adam, the Earl of Keswick, is on a quest for revenge. The man who killed his parents
will rue the day he was born, and then die for his sins. In order to get leverage so Lord
Martindale will meet with him, Adam plans to kidnap Lady Florence Becket, Martindale’s
youngest daughter. A feat he accomplishes, but not without a lot of trouble and help from
his brother and friend.
Florrie is at first frightened when she is stolen away from her home, but soon she finds
her captor, who is a sensual and handsome man, is not what he seems. He goes out of his way
to make sure she is comfortable, protects her from harm, and when she least expects
it—he steals a kiss along with her heart. She knows there is more to this man, and
soon she discovers he is one of the legendary warriors of the League of the Blade.
Both Adam and Florrie fight their attraction to one another as well as enemies out to do
them harm. Adam finds that his vow for vengeance could cost him a woman worth more than any
past grievance, and Florrie decides to use love to prevent events that could cause a rift in
their relationship if it does not destroy them first.
