The Perfect Christmas

by Debbie Macomber

At thirty-three, Cassie Beaumont yearns for a perfect husband, a perfect family and a perfect Christmas. So far the perfect husband has eluded her. Her best friend, Angie Barber, gives her the name of a matchmaker, Dr Simon Dodson, who will find the perfect match for her for a $3000 fee.

Dr. Dodson is a difficult and cold individual who promises to find the match but first she must complete three tasks for him. The tasks are all about Christmas: acting as a charity bell ringer, dressing up as Santa's helper, and preparing a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for her neighbors. She completes these tasks with a few amusing mishaps but when Dodson wishes to introduce her to her match, John, she is not interested, having found the perfect mach on her own.

This is a charming light romance filled with amusing incidents, likeable characters and a story suitable for the "perfect Christmas".
