Eight years ago, Scooter and Skipper was America’s favorite sitcom. Skipper was
fourteen when the show started. Scooter was seventeen. The country watched the characters
grow up and fall in love. Everyone was angered when the behavior of Bram, the actor
portraying Scooter, became so crazy that the show was canceled before a storybook wedding
could be filmed.
Georgie, the actress who played Skipper, had a huge crush on Bram from the moment she met
him. When she turned eighteen, she finally got up the courage to let him know how she felt.
Since she was a grown woman, she wanted him to treat her like one. He treated her like one
all right. He took her virginity and walked away. They continued to work together but
Georgie hated him for every one of those four years.
After the show’s cancelation, Georgie met her Prince Charming and settled down for her
happily ever after. Unfortunately, he wasn’t such a charming prince. He left her for another
actress. The media ate it up.
Georgie goes to Vegas and has a great time. When she wakes up, she can’t remember much
about the previous evening. Even worse, she finds herself in bed with Bram. Then to top
things off, she finds out that she married him! This is a catastrophe!
But the more Georgie thinks about it, the more she realizes this could be the solution to
the media portraying her as a victim. She and Bram will pretend to be happily married for a
while. Then they can get a friendly divorce. Finally, everyone will quit feeling sorry for
her. Now if she can only talk Bram into it.
Bram agrees, but only after Georgie agrees to pay him a small fortune. Things roll along a
lot more smoothly than either one of them expected. In fact, it’s going so well that Georgie
does the unforgiveable. She falls in love with Bram.
This book is filled with witty repartee and sexual tension. Not surprisingly, it’s another
great book by a great author.
