Fonda Raine is an offspring and a government-trained assassin. She has her sights set on her next target. Eric Aruda, a rogue offspring that killed her lover. Fonda must lure Eric out of hiding so that she can kill him.

Eric Aruda is awed by the appearance of a mysterious enchantress that tries to seduce him in his bed. Unknown to him, she is trying to get close enough to find out if she can kill him while she is in this transparent state. Eric and a few other offspring are in hiding trying to stay alive and out of sight from the assassins.

Fonda and Eric eventually realize that they must work together to survive. While trying to avoid an unknown assassin, Fonda and Eric try to solve the mystery of who hired the assassin and who is trying to wipe out the offspring.

Rush has done a wonderful job with this story. This is the fourth in her Offspring series. The book stands alone very well. The characters work well together and the sexual tension is hot. Each offspring has a different ability. Although I have not read the other three books, I am definitely hooked. I will be looking forward to reading the other books in the series. If you like action, romance, and a little mystery, you’ll enjoy this book.
