Jillian Descharme, a new veterinarian fresh out of school, awakens from a dream. . . a dream she has had many times before. Fifteen years ago, a great white wolf had emerged from the darkness and saved her life. Any time things are not going well, the dream returns and she sees the white wolf that calms her and tells her she is not alone.

Jillian gets a call from a Dr. Connor Macleod, a vet in North Eastern Canada looking for someone to help him at his animal clinic. Deciding she needs the change, Jillian takes him up on the offer and heads to Dunvegan. Shortly after she arrives, she gets some time off and goes for a hike. There she runs into the white wolf from her dreams: the wolf with the blue eyes.

James Macleod is the changeling brother of Connor Macleod. Thirty years ago, James rushed home to find his pregnant wife murdered, and then he was shot and left for dead. Once he was able, he made the change to a wolf and disappeared into the night, never to be human again and never to be seen by his family again. Now the wolf has made its way back to his homeland. While in the woods he comes across the woman that he saved years ago. The man inside him begins to stir and wants to know more about her. Can Jillian learn the secrets of the wolf and save the man inside? What will she do when she discovers that Changelings exists?

Dani Harper has another winner in Changeling Dream, the second in her Changeling series. Just like the first, this book grabs you on the first paragraph and hangs on till the end. I couldn’t put it down: great story, great romance, great passion. You won’t be disappointed. The third in the series, Changeling Dawn, is due out December 27, 2011. I can’t wait!
