Bert tries to return the horse her brother stole, but the ranch
hands mistake her for a horse thief. Deputy Marshal John Timmons
rescues her from hanging. He pays the ranch hands for the loss of
the horse's use. Thinking Bert a boy Timmons takes Burt to the family
ranch to work off the money he paid. The only problem is that Bert
is revealed to be a girl, Ember. John is confused when Ember refuses
to tell him the truth. She is afraid that her vicious brother will
come and seek vengeance on the Timmons family. She finds a loving
family and has discovered faith and God. Her new life is torn apart
when her vicious brother arrives on the scene.
This is a story of love and redemption in 1880 Colorado. It is
a story of the power of love which will overcome any family dissention
or crime. There is a constant theme that the belief in God and abiding
faith will give strength and courage to overcome any adversity.
The love and support of the Timmons family is heartwarming.
