Suzette is not like any other heiress. She wants a land rich, money
poor husband who will allow her to have access to her dower so that
she can pay off her father’s gambling debts, and save the
family estate. When she meets Daniel Woodrow she is sure she has
found him.
Daniel Woodrow is a titled, handsome, single man. He is tired of
the ton mothers throwing their daughters at him hoping to get a
rich husband for them. When he meets Suzette he decides to tell
her that he’s land rich and money poor. How was he supposed
to know that’s exactly what she’s looking for?
Daniel is determined that he is not ready to get married yet. Suzette
is positive that she wants him for a husband. Every time he tries
to tell her he doesn’t want to marry he ends up kissing her,
or finds himself in a position that makes her think that he will
agree to marry her. Now, the cloak and dagger antics begin. I’ll
let you find out what happens next.
Lynsay Sands has another hit. The Heiress is a follow
up to
The Countess (I reviewed
The Countess for MyShelf in the March 2011
reviews.). It does cover some of the same ground but it is from
a different perspective. You see another side of the story. It is
a lot of fun, full of laughs, and some hot scenes that will speed
up your heart beat. I enjoyed this book very much. I’m hoping
there will be a third book on the third sister. I recommend this
book for any romance reader. You’ll enjoy it too.
