Lady Julianne Gatewick has been secretly in love with the Earl of Hawkfield and planning to marry him for the last four years. This year everything is falling into place when her brother asks the Earl to take his place as guardian of Julianne while she attends the new season. Things couldn’t be going better for her plans. But when the Earl dances a waltz with her at the first ball, he breaks her heart when he declares in public that she is like a sister to him. Well, rather than give in to humiliation, she secretly writes a guide to ladies on how to entice unrepentant rakes. It becomes a great hit and quite the scandal.

Hawk is beside himself when his best friend asks him to be the guardian of Julianne for the season. Try as he might, he can find no way out of it. He hasn’t seen Julianne for quite some time. When he finally sees her, he practically has to pick his jaw off the floor. Julianne has blossomed in to a beautiful graceful woman. All he wants to do is take her in his arms and kiss her till she melts in his arms. But he is her guardian and to top it off, there are rules. Best friends’ sisters are off limits. However, the harder he tries to remain honorable, the more he wants her. Besides, he has sworn to stay single and never marry. You know what they say about the best laid plans.

This is Vicky’s second book. Her first was How to Marry a Duke, which I reviewed for MyShelf. How to Seduce a Scoundrel is a hit! It is full of fun, romance, and hot passion. Julianne and her girlfriends will keep you in stitches. I couldn’t put it down until it was finished and even then I wanted more. You can’t go wrong with this book. I highly recommend it!
