It has been seven years since Connor Grant left the Highlands and Mairi MacGregor, his first true love, to fight for the king. He’s never forgotten his Highland lass, but that hasn’t stopped Connor from racking up a series of much heralded victories on the battlefield and in the bedroom.

Mairi, although once deeply in love with Connor, has banished him from her life and also moved on. Now she’s devoted her life to furthering the aims of her beloved country. When the ravishing beauty and her ex-lover meet again at the British Royal Court in London, sparks will fly. Although he is entranced by her, Mairi wants no part of Connor.

That all changes, though, when they discover there is a traitor in their midst and, like it or not, they’ll have to work together to deal with this new treachery and avert a disaster that could have far-reaching consequences.

Will the situation in which they find themselves rekindle their dormant passion? Silly question! Once the flame is rekindled the couple will be engulfed in a sensual affair that will remind them of what they once enjoyed together.
