Leigh Kelly is determined to start over on Whidbey Island after her husband's tragic death. Unfortunately, the small town of Chimney Rock is not as peaceful as it appears to be. It seems that women have been disappearing. Leigh can't seem to shake the feeling that she's being watched. The feeling seems to be strongest at night. To make things even worse, Leigh begins experiencing visions she can't explain. She also finds herself fighting an attraction to a handsome stranger who seems to know her most intimate desires.

Niles Latimer, a former special ops soldier, is desperate to prove that he has a man's heart beneath his predator's body. Niles is the leader of a pack of werehounds that are forced to hide their existence. Then there is Leigh, a mysterious woman who seems to possess powers that she is not aware of or understands. She may be the one person who can help Niles. However, Niles isn't the only one who recognizes Leigh's true identity. There is something evil hiding in the woods. It seems that the hunt has begun.

This is the first in a new series that will definitely leave you wanting more. There are a lot of twists and turn in this book. Some you can see coming, some you can't. You will see a lot of character intros in this book, but that is normal for the first of a new series. You have werewolves, werehounds, vampires, faes; all the main ingredients of a great paranormal series. I think you'll find that this is one you can't put down. Or, in this case, can't turn off.
