Adventure, independence, romance - Eliza Cynster longs for all of these things, but young women, especially protected, wealthy young women, are expected to long for quite different things. Adventure and independence are for men, and romance - well, better not expect that. However, Eliza is a Cynster through and through, willful, spirited and determined to find her own way through society. After she is kidnapped at her sister's engagement party, Eliza finds herself in the midst of adventure · more than she bargained for! As she is carried off to who knows what ends, Eliza searches for an escape, for a hero. Jeremy Carling is not quite the perfect hero, but when she sees him, she knows he might be her only hope. Jeremy turns out to be far more than the mild mannered, somewhat absent minded scholar that he appears to be. He not only rescues Eliza, but shares the adventure of a lifetime with her. The two race from one town to another, just ahead of the kidnappers, desperately trying to reach Eliza's family. Eliza comes to realize that this journey just might be everything she longs for - including the romance!

In Pursuit of Eliza Cynster is another wonderful story by Stehanie Laurens! I just love all of the tales of the remarkable Cynster family, and was thrilled to get to know another member of the crew. As usual, the story is chock full of romance, larger than life characters and plenty of action, but there is more than that. I loved Eliza's search for herself, and for a fulfilling life. She won't settle for an ordinary life, or for a man who doesn't consider her his equal. Will she be able to create it? Is Jeremy willing? Well, Eliza is a Cynster you know! So, whether you're a long-time Stephanie Laurens fan or have just been introduced, go ahead and take off In Pursuit of Eliza Cynster!
