Miss Octavia Pierce has managed to shock most by still being well
off and unwed. But everyone knows that because she is so successful
she can't stay unwed for much longer. Her family keeps hoping that
she will finally make the perfect match. However, what her family
doesn't know is that years ago she was greatly tempted to the point
of scandal. That one man is the one capable of sweeping her off
her feet. That man was known as the Marques of Doreé.
Lord Ben Doreé is a third son who never expected to inherit.
He has put his past behind him and has adjusted to his new position
of wealth and power. Throughout the years he has never forgotten
Octavia Pierce. Now she has come to him needing his help in a dangerous
matter. Although she says she has put the memories of their past
behind her, Ben is determined to have her once again in his arms
and in his bed.
Katharine Ashe has another hit on her hands. This book takes you
to India and gives you quite an insight as to how England gained
its wealth after it lost the Revolutionary War in America. It has
action, romance, adventure, and all the things that make a great
story. I haven't read one of Ashes books yet that didn't have me
begging for more at the end. I highly recommend this book.
