Until Phin was attacked by Malcontents (evil vampires who consider mortals to be snacks) he considered New York City to be tough. After he was saved by good vampires, Phin devoted his life to stopping the Malcontents. He got a job working for a vampire security agency that works at finding and eliminating the threat of the bad vampires. Now he has his work cut out for him when word comes that their enemy may be hiding in Wyoming. Phin is a city boy born and raised. He knows nothing about surviving in the wilderness. In comes Brynley Jones. Not only was she born and raised in Wyoming, she’s a werewolf. Only problem is she hates every vampire on the planet.

She’s a werewolf princess…

Bryn thinks vampires are dangerous because she believes them to be seductive and charming. Because of this she is quite upset about being teamed up with Phin. Thing is, he is the only bloodsucker that is able to make her inner wolf purr like a kitten. However, as they hunt down the new leader of the Malcontents they find danger all around them. At the same time Bryn and Phin find that their passion for one another is even stronger. How will they balance out their world that their passion has turned upside down? How can a werewolf and a vampire be mated?

“Wanted: Undead or Alive” is a fun and interesting read. Once I started it I couldn’t put it down. It has some interesting characters in it and the tension between Bryn and Phin is both fun and passionate. This is the first of Spark’s books that I have read. You can be sure that I’m going to be reading a lot more of the Love at Stake series.
