Reno Wilder is determined to stand his ground
in his sleepy little Texas town of Sweet. He likes it just
the way it is. But that is all about to change when Hollywood
shows up in Texas. Out from the car steps a curvy brunette,
Charlotte, with the crew of My New Town, a makeover show that
makes over Reno Wilder along the way.
Sweet is a cute story with a real likable
group of characters. And if you have ever lived in Texas,
you will agree. Reno and Charli have a lot of wordplay until
one night when they finally get together for a dance. That
does it, and from then on, Reno is hooked, but she's a Hollywood
girl and intent on going back to her urban apartment and leaving
Sweet behind.
Terry writes with a lighthearted "Johnny-come-lately"
savoir faire, Texas style. You can't help but love this sweet
romance.
