Grace Cabot is trying to keep her family together. Her three sisters and her addled mother need her to get married and provide for them. Grace's step-father has died and they will soon be banished to a location far from London. The only thing to do is to trap a man into marriage. Cause a scandal that will make it impossible for him not to marry her. Grace has the gentleman picked out – Lord Amherst. She tricks him into going to an empty tea shop and well... except, it is not Lord Amherst that arrives - but his cold as ice brother, Lord Merryton. Grace has no choice but to marry him. The ceremony is quickly over and Grace is handed up into his coach. Lord Merryton gets on is horse, this leaves Grace alone in the coach. She would spend her wedding day alone.

Things to ponder: Will Grace be able to save her family from disgrace? Will Jeffrey be able to tell Grace his secret? What happened to Lord Amherst?

This is the first book I have read by Julia London. It will not be my last. This was a captivating, sassy, sexy read. I love the characters and how this skillful author brings them to life. Underneath it all is a tender love story that will satisfy readers. This story was one I could not put down. It kept me reading well into the night. I look forward to reading many more novels by this talented author.
