Half Moon Hill by Toni Blake starts off with an interesting plot when Anna Romo lets the reader know that secrets are the beginning of her existence. Her mother reveals some of them when she was on her deathbed. I found myself turning the page, very eager to find out what secrets Anna’s mother kept from her and why? I wish I could spoil the fun, but you just have to read this striking book, to find out the demons, even our own mother hides from us.

I am an avid reader, and this is my first book by Toni Blake. I also found out that this is a series too. The author explains in detail, so you don’t really have to read the previous books, but you will want to read the entire series, when you complete this one. It is a page-turner.

I am a romantic being, so the relationship with Anna Romo, and Duke Dawson is another plight, which will entice you to read this book. I am intrigue by Destiny, Ohio, where this novel takes place. I can say that Anna finds out a shocking secret about her mother. This definitely changes Anna’s life, about who she really is.

Now Duke is a mystery all by himself, and he’s another reason why you need to read this book. Duke’s life changes when he suffers a very tragic loss in a horrific accident. This is how Anna and Duke meet. The essence of Duke and Anna’s relationship includes the fact that Duke is Anna’s brother’s, Lucky’s, best friend. Let’s just say Duke has changed, and is unrecognizable by Anna. Of course, the sparks are there too.

I can relate to this story because it’s reality in a nutshell. The consequences and actions that spellbound Anna and Duke’s life, hit home to me all over the place and then some. I am now a fan of Toni Blake. This is a romance in a small town. Okay, I’m not a small town kind of person, but I’m willing to try other things, and that’s why I loved this book. You never know what might interest you until you try it.

I am a sucker for a romance, Anna is a romantic heroine, and Duke is a hero, so you know I’m hooked. This book gets five *****, and I will check out the other five books in the series. So on your electrical device, purchase Half Moon Hill by Toni Blake. The paperback edition is available also. It will make you cry, and understand the trials and tribulations we have to endure while on this earth. It will make you believe in romance.
