This is my fist interaction with Jenny Colgan and this book was truly magical to read during the Christmas season. The characters are full of warmth and cheer, especially Polly and Huckle - a true opposites-attract couple, but they make it work, and do so while being adorable! I do think that the second half of the book was a faster read than the first half, but depending on your reading preference you may disagree. The first half of the book is filled with beautifully drawn illustrations for your imagination, while the second half is full of action. Either way, this book can be read as a standalone, and will warm you just as good as a cup of cheer!
