Just Plain Bad
Bad-Ass Faeries 2

Edited by Danielle Ackley-McPhail, et al (Various authors)

If you were thrilled with the escapades of the faeries in the first volume of Bad-Ass Faeries (also reviewed on Myshelf), here is your chance to meet more of these supernatural beings of which the best can be said for them, for the most part, is they are indeed bad-assed.

The reader might think that, after a while, the faeries would all come to look alike, but each faerie has his / her own perspective on how to be bad-assed.  Each of the tales in this collection of twenty-one stories has a faerie doing his or her bad thing, but the mode of operation for each is different enough to add a little intrigue to each story.

In the short story "Moonshine," the faerie is obsessed with the sale and distribution of moonshine. She wants to do the job on her terms, and she is dealing with a group who are her peers at being mean-assed.  The faeries are mean, but that does not mean they are always the ultimate victors in this story.

For die-hard fans, the stories can be read straight through from the first story to the last, but for the more casual reader two or three stories at a time might be a better approach to take.  Reading at this pace helps the stories retain their uniqueness and that uniqueness is one of the strong points of the anthology.
