Enclave

by Kit Reed

The world is diseased and the carrier of that disease is society itself.  For the wealthiest of the wealthy there is one boat leaving for the safe place called Mount Clothos, an academy of protective quarantine from all of the world's evil influences.  A former monastery built in the fifth century high atop a mountainside, it is cut off from the outside world.  Here at the top of the world, one hundred rich problem children will be kept safe from all of the evils afforded them in the outside world.  Inside these walls even the craziest of the kids will shape up, cut off from the sick world—all of society.

The Mount Clothos Academy is run by the ever mysterious Sarge.  For a time things run smoothly and just as Sarge planned.  Only Sarge has any contact with the outside world and that ends when the server for his computer goes down.  Then disease enters the academy and Sarge has no way of contacting anyone from the outside world.  Will disease and destruction bring down the academy and put an end to Sarge's well-thought-out plans?  Is there some force out to destroy the world's last outpost of peace and order—to sink the Academy?

Enclave is a wonderfully written, entertaining story that will keep you turning pages well into the night.  With its intriguing plot and interesting characters, Enclave is an enjoyable book that every fan of Science Fiction is sure to enjoy.
