Dawnbreaker
Dark Days Book 3
By Jocelynn Drake
cNightwalker, or vampire, Mira is reaching what she fears will be
the end of her life. The nightwalker she loved is dead, killed by
the naturi in a battle on the island of Crete. Michael was her bodyguard
as well as her lover. To add insult to injury, the naturi have stolen
Michael’s body, leaving her nothing.
Now, the naturi, who were intent on exterminating all vampires,
werewolves, and other creatures of the dark, are planning one last
sacrifice to open the door to the magical cage that has kept the
naturi away from Earth. Already they have begun to break through.
Queen Aurora’s mate, Rowe, of the very powerful wind clan,
is here to complete the sacrifice that will allow Aurora to come
through as well. And though the humans fear the nightwalkers, their
lives depend on Mira’s success.
Mira has been given a gift. In rescuing one of her own, she was
able to take Aurora’s young sister, Cynnia, prisoner. The
girl says she wants to stop Rowe, but can Mira trust her? And if
Rowe doesn’t kill her, will the vampire hunter, Danaus, who
is fighting with her now, fulfill his goal and kill her?
Dawnbreaker is the third book in the Dark Days
series. Perhaps it’s due to my poor health, but though the
story was interesting, it seemed to not keep me awake and reading.
The plot is well developed and I did want to see what happened,
especially to Mira. It just took me a very long time to get there.
So, reader, read Dawnbreaker for yourself and form your
own opinion. Let me know if you have trouble staying involved.
