Kitty Katt is part of an elite team that protects the earth from alien super-beings, though we don't actually see any alien super-beings in this particular installment of the series. Kitty is preparing for her wedding to hot alien Jeff. Unfortunately Jeff is Alpha Centaurian royalty and apparently a delegation is coming to the wedding to make sure Kitty is worthy of her husband-to-be. Or at least, they might be coming for that. They might be coming to start a war or kill the royal heir or some other complicated plot since Kitty's life often seems to go that way. If you're new to this series, the book can be incredibly confusing as you sort out the huge cast of human and alien characters. And just when you think the plot is winding down, it'll launch into a different confusing political machination. I found the book a little hard to get into, but I did enjoy the quirky cast and the pure absurdity of some of the author's ideas (such as tiny cute alien kitten creatures who can suddenly morph into huge monsters with sharp teeth). This is certainly a book with a surprise around every plot turn and a smart remark on every page. If you like your science fiction quirky and light -- you'll probably love this series. I just recommend starting at the beginning and working your way to this one.
