Willow Tate creates graphic novels and longs for her little apartment
in New York. Right now she's stuck dog sitting for her mother in
Paumanok Harbor in the Hamptons. Willow is also a Visualizer and
can communicate with fantasticcreatures through her art and her
dreams. So when Magic Horses who affect human emotions move into
the area, everyone assumes Willow will do something about it. She
turns to the Department of Unexplained Events, expecting her not-fiance
to come and help. Instead, horse whisperer Ty Farraday arrives with
an eye on more than magical horseflesh. Now Willow has to balance
her growing attraction for the sexy cowboy with her concern for
the horses. I liked the way this book balancesd the romantic and
plot elements. I've read a few paranormal romances where the magic
got scant attention between love scenes. This one has plenty of
both romance and nightmare horses. I also enjoyed the other quirky
inhabitants of Paumanok Harbor, many of whom have their own gifts:
gifts that work about as erratically as Willow's. Overall, it was
a fast paced, fun fantasy with a sexy twist.
