Conner Buchanan is almost a century old. He's tired, lonely, and bitter over a past he can't change, and that makes him dangerous. He takes too many risks when it comes to his own safety, but then again he's a vampire. While searching for a Malcontent, one of the evil vampires, he comes across an injured woman. He teleports her back to Romatech to
get her help, never realizing she is the "Angel Of Death."

Marielle loves being an angel. Sure she makes mistakes, but she tries hard to make up for her shortcomings. Only this time her mistake gets her wings torn off. When she awakens, she finds the fascinating and brogue-inflected man to be fearless. He's not afraid to touch her, and doesn’t immediately succumb to death as all other humans have done when exposed to Marielle.
Yet, she knows he is hiding a secret, and it's not just the fact he has fangs, but something from his past that is literally stealing his soul away. The longer Connor is around Marielle the more he finds himself falling for her. Love is something he's scoffed at for centuries,
and nothing can come of loving an angel—especially when a demon tries to take her to hell. His only hope is a God whom he is sure despises him. Conner prays that when the battle is over, Marielle will not be one of the casualties, for if she dies, so will his last chance at redemption.

Ms. Sparks is just as fabulous with this tenth book in her series as with the first. Romance, sensuality, and conflict all play a part in “Vampire Mine.” Readers who love a bit of bite with their romance will fall in love with Conner and Marielle.
