Shadowed Wolf
takes the vampire/werewolf relationship
and twists it enough to make it different than the traditional
storyline. Shadowed Wolf introduces readers to Chris Tarkin,
a private investigator who starts investigating a missing
young female. Little did Tarkin know that as his investigation
grew, he, himself, would start investigating who he really
was and the history of how he came to be in life. Tarkin is
introduced to a world of werewolves and vampires that he never
expected.
The characterization of Chris Tarkin seems
realistic even though his true character is fictional and
is what horror movies and nightmares are made of. The different
little subgroups of vampires and werewolves within each other
seems plausible and creates unique plot twists that are not
shown in other vampire/werewolf movies and books. Even though
the story takes place in Los Angeles, the story could take
place in any big city.
Shadowed Wolf is a fun and exciting
read that will keep readers glued to the pages. David M. Carner
has a unique voice and his way of charactering his characters
is refreshing. Anyone who has liked Underworld should pick
up a copy of this book.
