As Skin Game opens, Dresden continues to chaffe and worry about being Mab's Winter Knight. He doesn't know how to get out of the position, but knows it will drive him mad and evil in time. Mab seems eager to speed the process along and sends him on another assignment. He must help the arch-villain Nicodemus Archleone steal something from a vault belonging to Hades. This is the suicide mission of all time, but Harry is determined to get himself and as many others as possible out alive AND thwart Archleone without breaking his deal with Mab. Nothing hard there. As always, the plot twists and turns at a breakneck speed, but you'll hang on with glee. Harry is struggling, but it doesn't keep down his snarky quips -- and I'm glad of it. I found the ending a little bit of a reach, but somehow, I didn't really mind. Reading it is just that much fun.
