Unlike many other ministers who preach what has been called prosperity theology, Dr. Dollar tells listeners from the beginning that the Bible and God's plan for our success isn't magic. We just don't wait for God to do for us. We have to do our part. With that focus in mind, he sets forth to teach us how to grasp the concepts and practical ideas that will help us reach full prosperity in our lives, whether it is good health, sound finances, or satisfying relationships. All of this is based on principles Dr. Dollar has unearthed from the Bible. The teaching is sound and detailed, even though the audiobook is an abridgement. Though there are eight basic steps in Dr. Dollar's plan, there are many smaller steps within each one for listeners to work on. Dr. Dollar’s teaching encourages listeners through the whole process, without overwhelming them by theological ramblings. This is simple, down-to-earth advice.

In addition, Dr. Dollar shares his own personal stories. One was seeing what he thought was his life’s purpose sidetracked, only to find that God had another plan for him if he would listen. Another was his own battle with cancer and how he overcame it. More than a simple how-to, this audiobook goes into deeper issues. The subtitle, The Anatomy of a Successful Life, shows what Dr. Dollar has done. He has analyzed what elements make for a satisfied, godly life and then offered that to his listeners as the eight steps.

My only regret about this 3 1/2 hour CD collection is that it is not read by Dr. Dollar himself. The accomplished actor and singer, Leonard Dozier, handles the material well, but it would have been a special treat to hear Dr. Dollar because he is a skilled speaker and minister.
