The Language Of Yoga:
Complete A to Y guide to Asana Names, Sanskrit Terms, and Chants

by Nicolai Bachman

"Yoga exists in the world because everything is linked."
Desikashar

Yoga is a way of life, for it provides the essential ingredient that allows oneness to be discovered. Traditionally, the language of yoga is derived from the Sanskrit language. This centuries-old dialogue dates back to the beginning of time. It is believed to have been the language that was spoken by the Gods.

The Language Of Yoga: Complete A to Y guide to Asana Names, Sanskrit Terms, and Chants provides a wonderful and unique learning experience. With the accompanying audio CDs, it allows the listener to hear the correct pronunciation of each yoga term. The ability to hear the word pronounced and to see it translated into English and written in Sanskrit allows the listener to learn quicker. In addition, there is a section devoted to astanga sequences. These black and white pictures illustrate each yoga pose along with its correct Sanskrit name.

The Language Of Yoga: Complete A to Y guide to Asana Names, Sanskrit Terms, and Chants is by far the best reference book I have yet to find concerning yoga. It gives the owner a true sense of appreciation for all the beauty yoga generates. There is no greater book on the market that offers half as much as this one book contains. By far, this is the book all yoga enthusiasts should add to their collection.
