A Love Alchemist's Notebook
Magical Secrets for Drawing Your True Love into Your Lifetime

by Jessica Shepherd

If you feel like you've been looking for love in all the wrong places and you are ready to try something different, A Love Alchemist's Notebook might be just the thing for you. Part self-help book and part cookbook of love spells, this thick volume written primarily for women contains everything you need to attract the soul mate waiting out there for you. Counselor/author Jessica Shepherd becomes a trusted friend as she carefully guides us through nine secrets to finding a soul mate. She also makes suggestions for the appropriate gem stones, scents, foods, herbs, flowers, days and moon cycles to help readers create the romantic outcome they desire.

I think one of the most positive aspects of this book is the encouraging tone the author takes as she supports each of us in becoming our best selves. I especially enjoy that she talks extensively about how loving yourself is important in your relationship with others, and how self-confidence is critical when searching for a companion. Ms. Shepherd provides a lot of useful ideas about how we can heal our hearts as we prepare ourselves to find that special someone. Many people will also enjoy the K.I.S.S. feature, which includes simple anecdotes and insights to help readers understand the broader material within the chapter.

This book is certainly not for everyone. A Love Alchemist's Notebook is written by an astrologer and uses a liberal helping of cosmic knowledge, charms and magic as a basis for finding love. Those who are familiar with this type of approach are sure to find it a very satisfying, amusing and insightful addition to their personal library.
