Best-selling author John C. Maxwell provides practical advice on how to become a more effective leader in 90 days in this brief audiobook that gets right to the point. Read in a no-nonsense style by Chris Sorensen, the book offers a daily quotation on leadership followed by a short explanation, then an assignment to improve leadership qualities. The assignments range from things to think about to specific actions to take today.

Ideas are presented without much detail in this concise work. Readers can listen to one item per day and attempt the assignments, or they can listen to multiple days or even the entire two-hour book at one time, taking notes of how to implement the ideas. Maxwell’s suggestions include concepts such as “People quit people, not companies,” “Leaders need to help people, not make them happy,” and “Care balanced with candor” makes great leaders.

Readers could spend hours contemplating these ideas alone, figuring out how to apply them to their own unique leadership situation.
