What an enlightening book. Although verses in the Bible are often quoted, this is a book for everyone of any faith or no faith. We are all afflicted with shame of some sort. One interesting fact brought to light in this book is that we are generally unaware that shame is a huge motivating factor in our behavior throughout our life.

Shame Interrupted had me hooked from page one and never let me go. It made me think; it made me cry. I really took a lot away from reading this one. Welch teaches the reader that one doesn't have to suffer any longer with the guilt of shame, that God forgives and we should forgive ourselves too.

I was impressed by the way the author presented this material. We are all familiar with guilt, but few of us have ever looked at shame. It is an eye opener. I suggest this wonderful book for everyone to read and acknowledge. I think it will change lives.

Welch is a licensed psychologist and author of many books.
