improvement plan for establishing priorities in this latest
installment of his popular series. Each day begins with an
inspirational quotation and then provides a new exercise with
actions and questions to prioritize life's most important
tasks. Each exercise takes about 15 minutes to complete.
Read by Chris Sorensen, the audiobook talks about the importance
of making good decisions every day. "The secret of success
is determined by your daily agenda," Maxwell writes.
In fact, success and failure don't just happen spontaneously,
but are processes of daily decisions and behaviors based on
established priorities, both helpful (e.g., practicing healthy
eating habits) and not helpful (e.g., smoking a pack of cigarettes
each day).
Maxwell also provides a daily dozen - 12 priorities that lead
to success. These priorities are attitude, focus, health,
family, thinking, commitment, finances, faith, relationships,
generosity, values and growth. Making good decisions each
day in these 12 areas produces a more satisfying personal
and professional life. The exercises relate directly to this
daily dozen, expounding on specific ideas for prioritization.
If you've read some of his previous books, you'll recognize
occasional overlapping material, such as establishing a special
thinking place where you can process important ideas.
The third CD finishes the three months of exercises, and includes
a bonus MAC and PC compatible PDF with related questions about
the daily dozen and worksheets for each of the 90 days. For
example, Maxwell (who began his career as pastor of a small
rural church) emphasizes the importance of faith in prioritizing
daily goals in exercises for days 55 through 61. These selected
worksheets involve an examination of in what or whom you've
placed your faith, how you have explored your faith, what
steps you have taken or will take to align your beliefs to
the truth, how faith helps you in difficult times, people
in your life with faith you admire, times in which your faith
was tested, how you make your faith a daily priority, and
what steps you will take to make the core beliefs of your
faith a daily part of your life.
Practical, methodical and logical, this 90-day program can
help readers transform their scattered thoughts into focused
ones and turn their crazy schedules into productive daily
priorities that lead to happier lives.
