Buffy is beginning to worry about her mother.
She is taking her shopping at the mall and buying supplies to make a memory
album about her daughter. Will her next step in cosiness involve buying matching
mother and daughter outfits - or is she afraid that soon Buffy will only be
a memory herself? Buffy doesn't have long with this alone to worry about for
there are new vampires in town and this time they come in the form to two preppy
boys and their mother. When the vamp twins get dusted during a fight and
one of
Sunnydale's toughest girls comes asking for
help Buffy and her friends come rushing to the rescue but soon Buffy's favorite
person is in trouble as the twins' formidable mother calls down Nemesis herself
for retribution.
This is one of Pocket Pulse's teenage novels based on the series and at 178 pages it is just long enough to have an entertaining story but not too drawn out to sag in the middle. There is plenty of action and the side issue of Buffy's relationship with her mother. I didn't feel that I got to know the characters any better nor did I find out any secrets hidden from fans who merely watch the shows and don't read the books but for anybody keen to plunge into a typical Slayer situation this book hits the spot. Another worthy addition to the growing number of books based around this popular show.
