If you are a Buffy fan
then your coffee table won't be complete this Hallowe'en unless it has
this copy of the scripts from the first half of Season Two. There are
six of them and look much as they would do when they were in use making
this cult series, complete with production notes and even some parts that
were omitted. Read on and make up your mind why!
Here too are all the
clues that make up a compelling picture of Joss Whedon's vision. The descriptions
of what people look like (Spike has "eyes sparkling with anarchy"
and Drusilla who enters for the first time "looking at everything
with the quiet wonder of a child") and the places where things happen.
Relieve the episodes when a trip to the local museum turns out to be a
date with an Inca mummy for Xander, Cordelia dates a college boy and ends
up at a rather unusual Frat party and we find out how the folk of Sunnydale
celebrate Hallowe'en. All in all it is a useful and entertaining addition
to the other books available on this cult series and a reminder of how
it all began. Nobody will ever accuse you of having a boring coffee table
again!
