This is the final two parts of a four-part set during the early part of the fourth season. Buffy has been catapulted five years into the future and has seen Sunnydale taken over by vampires with many of her friends dead or hard-bitten veterans of the war between the living and the undead. Some of her former friends aren't he same though and who is now the Vampire King? Her former mentor Giles! Buffy has to somehow sort it all out and then go back in time to her 19 year old self at college but it isn't going to be easy.

As with the first two volumes of this set and most of the others there is enough plot and action in here to keep fans of all ages engrossed. Buffy has to fight future versions of people she knows (and in some cases also loves) and there are the usual assorted creatures of the night to battle and some real teen issues to work out such as coping with college and juggling relationships with boys, friends and parents. These books pass the time nicely and are just the thing to make great Christmas presents for the Buffy fan in your life.
