Run for Your Life
by Lucy Hawking
After being an innocent victim in a huge scandal at her former employer, Fleur Bonner has
settled into a new job selling art work and joined a group of new friends to train for
a marathon. Both her professional and personal lives have returned to some sense of normalcy.
Fleur enjoys her job because it allows her to help restore and protect art work. While
attending a party one night when her boss, Brinley Boulden, was out of town, Fleur receives
a text message asking her to go to the warehouse that held various art works. Since she
was left in charge, she goes without giving it much thought. After entering the warehouse,
a fire alarm sounds. In her panic, Fleur trips over a canister that she throws off to
the side. Her suspicious actions result in an arson charge.
Fleur finds herself turning for help to her marathon friends, including Peter, who takes
charge of the case. Although Fleur's past and present actions leave the doors wide open
to a lot of speculation about her involvement in the arson, there is no obvious motive.
They set out to answer the questions: who would go through so much trouble to frame Fleur
and why?
Not only did Lucy Hawking write an incredible story full of suspense, mystery, and thrills,
the story gives a unique look at the prestigious world of art collection. As a reader it
was hard not to want nothing but the best for the main character, Fleur, whose luck just
sometimes seems to be the worse. Lucy Hawking wrote incredible characters, including Fleur,
who were impossible not to love. Readers will keep turning pages hoping only for the best
for Fleur. |
