The Stolen Tome
A World of Ethynia Novel, Book One

by J. Brian Jones

Morgan Glendennings is estatic! For months she has studied in solitude with the Lorekeeper priests of Yndelis - the god of knowledge and wisdom - to uncover the origins of a family heirloom. Finally, a book - a tome - is being delivered which should answer the last of her questions. But, when the book fails to arrive and appears to have been stolen from the ship on which it traveled, Morgan reluctantly secures the help of Axel, a known thief, to track down and recover the missing tome.

Along the way, the miss-matched pair battle Bugbears, Owlbears, Cetarian Fishmen, and other wizards to recover the stolen book which appears more and more valuable every day. Traveling with a rescued half-elf, Mafina, the now-trio discover that a nefarious pair of thieves has stolen the tome on the orders of the wizard Jhalkion who seems to have some interest not only in his own heirloom, but in Morgan’s as well.

Magic, adventure, mysticism, and hilarious homage to popular culture mix to make The Stolen Tome a pleasurable first adventure from J. Brian Jones. I look forward to the further adventures of Morgan, Axel, and Mafina as they continue to pursue the stolen tome.
