The Miracle Girls in this book are girls who have gone to school with each other ever since
they can remember. They have not always been friends, but with a teacher's help, they have found
out that they have more in common than they think. As the years go on, they become even closer
and they share everything with each other.
Zoe was the band geek many didn't like or even want to get to know, but as she grew and matured,
she changed on the outside, drawing more people to her. At first she was not sure how to handle
this newfound attention, but as the story goes on, you will see that she really does conquer her
fears and move on.
Christine has always been the girl everyone wants to be; but behind all that, she is a scared
little girl who loses her mom at the most critical time of her life, as puberty hits. One thing
that Christine learns is that life is what you make of it and, no matter what, a family will always
be there to comfort you.
Rigsby is the cheerleader and probably the most insecure girl in the group. She has it all, at
least on the outside. But inside, she isn't as happy or secure as her friends really think she is.
She will mature as the story goes on and will end up being the girl everyone wishes they could be.
Ana has a boyfriend she loves and he tells her he loves her as well, until one day, she sees him
with another girl. Although he denies that they are more than just friends, Ana doesn't believe him
and that puts their relationship in jeopardy. In the end, Ana is single again. This story is
probably the most hard to swallow, Kids in high school should never be in a relationship that they
feel is their true love. What do they know about adult feelings that young?
This book turned out to be a fast read despite a lot of details to follow, and an absolute joy.
I would recommend it for one of those winter days you want to spend cozy in your favorite chair
while drinking hot chocolate!
