This is a great audio for anyone with a young adventurous spirit. Patterson sets the tone from the beginning with the prophecy from Angel that Max’s best friend Fang will die. What a way to start a book with the ending in plain sight. And then we’re off on another roller coaster adventure to keep the young Flock together, keep Fang alive and stop Dylan from stealing Max's heart.

Readers are taken along on the journey with the characters, not aware of their fate. Young readers will discover a world of winged, mutant children and villains with webs of deceit. Then Patterson adds the ultimate truth, Fang dies. But, adding to this emotional drama, that isn’t the end. Listen to this daring tale but don’t forget there are more. It is a series of Maximum Rides!
