Kisaki Tachimura works for a secret agency called PSI. She is fourteen and very in love with the other half of her team, Giniro Hashiba. Together they are called Mistress Fortune, and their powers are used against the EBE, extra-terrestrials who do not have Earth’s best interests in mind. But Giniro does not even seem to notice she is there, and when her employers decide to transfer her to California it looks as though he never will…

This is a one-off manga, a pity as there is plenty of material here for quite a long series. There is the burgeoning relationship between the two protagonists to start with; Giniro’s mysterious past, the cute EBE that has its own agenda and the whole fighting aliens idea. Not perhaps a very original idea, but there are aspects of it which would make for an appealing shojo series. It has been illustrated and written by the same person and the attractive drawings are perfect for the light, cute story. Maybe one day there will be more? I hope so.
