Willie Morris is a dog-lover. He has always preferred dogs as his companions. Willie tells how he has never liked cats… until Spit McGee, the son of Rivers Apple White, a white “enigma” who happens to be the cat of Willie’s second wife. Willie tells about his exploits before he found his soft spot for a certain cat who he strangely believes is his reincarnated childhood companion Skip (a dog).
This is a good book for animal lovers. It explains the childish exploits of cat-haters as boys. I really enjoyed this book and laughed at the many anecdotes about the comparison of cats and dogs.
For Junior High on up to adult.
