Rich Dad Poor Dad for Teens
The Secrets about money that you don’t learn in school!
Series: Rich Dad Poor Dad
By Robert T. Kiyosaki and Sharon L. Lechter, C.P.A.

In this New York Times Bestseller, Kiyosaki strives to help teenagers get in the financial game early. The book seeks to help teens develop a new mindset about money that will help them accumulate wealth. The book provides a table of contents and glossary to help keep everything accessible. It also provides charts and journal exercises designed to illustrate points and help the reader bring the lessons home. This book is a fine workbook for personal investigation but would also work well in a classroom setting.

Kiyosaki writes in a very conversational tone which is a great juxtaposition to the murky waters of mathematics and finances that many people find themselves in. The entire text is based on his experiences learning about business through his best friend’s father as well as observing his financially passive father. Through this technique, the book reads like a self help book as well as a story with interesting characters.

I highly recommend this book for any teenager who is interested in the world of finance as well as for adults who feel uncomfortable with financial jargon and concepts.

It makes everything easy to understand as well as throwing in a healthy dose of fun.
