Build your own roar-some scenes with these fun pop-out dinosaur models. There are twelve different beasties in here and two backgrounds for plenty of prehistoric play, and no scissors, glue or adults required.

This is an attractive, colorful and sturdy book with its board covers and special spine, which enables it to lay flat for easy handling. There are a few instructions at the front and then you can pop out the models, bend the tabs and they stand up. All are depicted at their most colorful, but turn over each dinosaur or scene to find a line drawing to color in as you please.

The card is thick enough to take felt pens, but I would advise against permanent markers like Sharpies or anything wet like paint. Using these media would spoil the pre-printed side, which, though somewhat improbably bright, is certainly appealing. Each dinosaur has a border around it which makes the page look even better, and all areas you need to fold are pre-creased.

The scenes depict a swampy forest and a desert complete with erupting volcano; populate them with favorites such as Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Pteranodon, Velociraptor, Liopleurodon and others. Also on the page are some facts about the creature, plus the pronunciation and the meaning of its name. At just under £10 it would make an ideal stocking filler for any young dino-fan.
