55 Ways to Promote & Sell Your Book on the Internet

by Bob Baker

I’m going to try to keep this review short simply because it needn’t be long. 55 Ways to Promote & Sell Your Book on the Internet by Bob Baker is quite simply the best companion book you might find to any on book marketing you already have on your shelf.

That becomes evident as early as the copyright page (yes, I read copyright pages and if you’re an author, you should, too!) where he says his book is designed to "complement, amplify, and supplement other texts," and goes on to suggest, "You are urged to read all available material and tailor the information to your individual needs."

Mmmm. Isn’t that what I just said? Caring—and smart—book marketing. The chapter and challenge titled "55 Ways’ Internet Book Promotion Challenge" exemplifies this caring marketing principle and is one no one in publishing should miss. I only despair that it is at the end of the book.

So, even if you already have my The Frugal Book Promoter or John Kremer’s 1001 Ways to Promote Your Book or any of the other dozens I often recommend, this book—this one book—should be your brush-up marketing book for 2010.
